The recipe contains controlled levels of protein and fat to support healthy growth, while chicken provides calcium and phosphorus for developing bones and muscles. Brown rice, white rice and oats provide a combination of slow-release and readily available energy to support an active puppy.
Chicory extract provides a natural source of prebiotic FOS to support healthy digestion, while omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids help support brain development. Burns also avoids beef, wheat, soya and dairy ingredients, as well as artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives.

Feeding Guide
Burns currently recommends Puppy Original Chicken & Rice for puppies and juniors up to 12 months of age. Feeding amounts should be based on the puppy's weight and age, using the Burns Puppy to Junior Feeding Guide.
Burns notes that most puppies can transition to adult food around 9–12 months, although the appropriate timing depends on the individual dog.
